i finally can say that i have stepped down from the drama committee.
i'm happy with the current committee and am very optimistic at what they can achieve.
i will still be in drama, although i sound like taking a break.
maybe this time, i'll concentrate on bringing up people to their respective interest: technical & acting.
i'm not calling for a second chance to do the rights in drama, time for new people with fresh minds and energy to take up the job, which i believe they'll do better than me.

i hope i get paid today.

it is hard at times to see your friends being single again yet you want to congratulate them on being single because they can do whatever they want. I'm not stating that being attached is a bad thing, that's how a single person will look at it like. you always thought that they could be the couple of the year and they could last very long even though they have their own differences but sometimes life is not a fairytale.

the sad fact is that love sucks at times and it won't go as plan. love is not about fairytales and you wait for your prince charming or princess to come by and fall in love at first sight. but me being attached, i know how it feels being attached and i treasure every moment of it.

F1 Investment

F1 in singapore.
something that i am looking forward to and something i want to laught at.

recently, i was looking in the ads for courts and they were selling some electronics at good prices. considerably cheap plasma tv, considerably loud and 'live' sound system. it suddenly hit my head. if i were to buy these two and put it in my room, that is if i have the money, it would be like investment to watch 100 F1 races rather than watching a live one. Smart right. Although i'm a fan of the F1, it still lurks in my head why people spend hundreds of dollars just to watch cars go from right to left and all you do is just that, turning your head right to left (depending where you sit). Whereas if you go ahead with the investment that I brought up, you have full coverage of the F1 race and it will sound 'real' with the sound system and the plasma TV. Well, people may argue that you lose the 'feeling' which i agree but in terms of money, isn't it much more worth it :D ahahaha

sunday is the week that i would look forward to.
soccer.
because it's the only time i really get to sweat and dirty myself.
i like to sweat, really. it just makes feel good. knowing that you're losing all that water from your body and that your lung capacity increases and your tolerance to lactic acid increases too.

today during soccer, it just hits my head how demoralising it would be when an opposition tells their own players that they're better than me, I couldn't regain my composure and I was thinking through in my head. that's the first time somebody really said that. not that i am good in soccer or what, but being professional, saying such remarks is just not right. maybe it's true, i suck at the game because i have not being playing it regularly but it's just wrong.

this is an incident that i will have to remember for a long time and that i have to improve myself from what i already am. academically, fitness and everything else.

Stand to do anything

i can't stand not to do anything productive lately.
i can't just sit at home and watch tv the whole day just because it's the holidays.
i can't be playing computer games the whole day because it's a waste of electricity.
i can't be hanging out with my friends everyday because i don't have the financial capability.

i feel fat right now and maybe i am. i just don't drill it in my head that i have to exercise and watch what i eat. I just gobble down whatever i see because there's something not in my mouth during free time and people who knows me well should know what it is. *chimney*

so much about me, let's talk about singaporeans.
i was coming home from a nice buffet treat by benny and as I was walking by the redhill blocks, i saw this massive queue and i thought they were giving out freebies so being a kiasu singaporean, you should know what i did. in the end, it was people queuing up to buy 4D,toto and such. it was so long that if you place them in a straight line, they could from one end of the field to the other. and to really make it more amusing, i saw underage children queuing up while their parents were sitting down.

V Day

This was a very nice Valentine Day because I loved it. It was simple yet nice because I can't stand it when people spend money for a single occasion just to show their love to the person. You don't have to celebrate Valentine's day just to show the person that you lover her/him. Any other normal day will do.

its hard to gulp in that i am going to be year 3 soon and after that you'll be serving NS.
after that, well, up till now, i don't know what i want to do.
i don't know whether i should continue my studies.
or to find a work.
or not to contribute to the singapore economy.
prabhu told me today that people who don't contribute to the economy will be kicked out of singapore.

if i got kicked out of singapore, hmmmm..... sounds nice and tempting but i will lose too many things.

it is clearly evident that Chinese New Year celebration has started because at 10am this morning I can hear the honking of a car because apparently another car had illegally parked adjacent to it and the owner of the car, chinese, was with his family, all dressed colourfully. at 10pm on the same day, i almost strangled a 5-7 year old kid because his fire sparklers were too damn noisy and smoky.

well, i can't complain because singapore is a multi-racial society, so they say.

Really lovely movie I must say. Although the reviews said otherwise, it justifies why Johnny Depp deserved the Oscar Nomination. Singing, acting, dancing. There were parts in the movie that were, 'Oh please hurry up. Finish the damn song'. I was more enthusiastic to know what happens next than listening to the bloody song. Well, what's a musical without songs? The only thing that didn't really impress me though was Depp's accent. It was similar to Jack Sparrow. Well, I don't know. All the weird movies he's acted in: Edward Scissorshand--> He didn't talk much and then there was Jack and now Sweeney.

This holiday, I am my mother's maid, my mother's punching bag, my mother's son. Yes, I have been doing some housework around here like washing the toilet, sweeping the floor etc etc. I have nothing to do really. Furthermore, my 2 toes are cut by glass when I was playing soccer yesterday. I wasn't wearing any footwear when I was playing on the pitch and I didn't know that there were broken glass around.

This reminds me. I need a pair of sports shoe. Either for running or playing soccer. A cheap one.

Besides nursing my wound on my toes, I have been doing some reading and looking up to the sky and boy is it interesting. It's good once in a while to look up in the sky and wonder what is it like up there. The highest I went was Mt. Ophir. I wonder what's further there. Man's Dream to dream FAR.

Sundays are Love

During school days, Sunday is the day that I look forward to because it is the ONLY day that I get to do things I want to. No school, no drama, no science, no gf. Well for the last part, yes, I want to spend more time with my girlfriend but sometimes I would love to keep Sundays to myself.

Well, I don't spend my Sundays with my mother because I don't believe in such a thing called "Family Time". In my entire life, well almost of it, my family didn't have family time. Well, what family was there. My mum was the only person there when I was young, but now, she's more emotionally attached to the TV than to me.

Holidays have started and I will be going through internship programme under Benny. I want to gain more exposure and I would like to build up my portfolio just in case I don't do well in science, which I really want to. Sigh.

Last Day of School For 07/08

Honestly, I don't know whether I am happy or sad that Year 2 has ended. I met too many friends to name and I know I'll still be seeing them around because we're in the same block.

My class, W55R. Was an enjoyable one yet competitive. The most competitive environment I have been and yet I enjoy it.

I will be looking forward to my next class and I promise that I will not give give up.
